Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT)

Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) is an integrative therapeutic approach that combines ideas from cognitive and analytic therapies to help clients understand the patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving that are problematic. At Freesia Health, CAT is used to explore how past experiences influence current behaviour and relationships.

Therapeutic Process

CAT involves a collaborative relationship between the client and therapist. Over a structured period, typically 16-24 sessions, clients at Freesia Health work with their therapist to map out these patterns (known as "procedures") and understand how they have developed and how they can be changed
